Out On a Leash

Out On a Leash is an integrative dog walking service founded by Joan O’Connor in Marin County, CA. The service combines daily nature walks with animal Reiki sessions. Joan wanted the identity to be modern, minimal, earthy, and calming. She wanted to incorporate the Reiki power symbol, the Cho Ku Rei, since it is an important part of the meditation process. I redrew a version with rounded corners and varying line widths to create a sense of softness and movement. We decided to place a large symbol on the back of the business card so you can trace it with your finger as a way of meditation.
